To the Dentist again....and again...

I just got back from the dentist for what seems like the billionth time. I know its not THAT many, but it sure feels like. I am in the middle of a root canal. The infection keeps coming back, or never went away. It is annoying! I am praying that it will heal soon. I really am not enjoying the trips. Its not the worst thing in the world but I don't want to prolong it any longer then I have to. Plus it costs a lot and you don't want it done wrong. So yeah...

Yesterday we spent all afternoon in the Mall near the church we are currently attending. A friend from church met us there. It was lots of fun! I had my camera, so you can imagine the fun we had there. In the mall was this neat hobby shop. They sold a large variety of things! They had the cool games, scouts stuff, paints, trading cards, and even stuffed germs! You heard me, stuffed germs. Don't believe me? Here take a look....
Nick is holding Mad Cow disease, Hannah is holding a brain cell, Gina is holding Chicken pox, and I am holding Hepatitis. Nick and I are squatting down so we could all fit in the picture. Gina found them all so funny. Especially the brain cell. We all liked the brain cell. I found it funny that the Mad Cow disease was colored like a cow, white with black spots. I am surprised that Nick agreed to the picture! I am glad he did though! It added to the fun, even if you wouldn't think so!

We saw something fun as we were leaving. We were looking back in the store front window. I saw these fun painted words on the windows in a stair step pattern. Out came the camera again and this is the result. Nick is supposed to be doing the Pow/Bam to Gina. Gina is spuposed to be doing the Zap to me. Reminds me of the old Batman. With the bubbles that popped up on screen during the fighting scenes. Kinda cool huh? Thanks to my parents who put up with taking our pictures! If it weren't for them you wouldn't be enjoying our WONDERFUL (lol..yeah right...) faces.

The off the wall moment of the week. We were sitting watching TV Saturday morning or Friday night. Can't remember exactly when it was. But this commercial came on...

You saw that red car right? Well my dad sees this and all of the sudden, out of no where he says, "Thats a Comagia (don't know how to spell it, if anyone knows let me know!), the motor is in the back of that car, it wouldn't be hot!" Apparently that car was made by Volts Wagon. And we all know that the older VWs had the motors in the back. It was so funny! You may be thinking.."oooookkkkkaaaaayyyy" but thats okay, you are allowed to think that. Just a little part of life in my house. :-)

The week in the life of me

Okay, so this week was a hectic one for me. You might sit there and say, "Hectic? That is hectic? You should be in my shoes, now THAT is hectic!" For a highschooler i lead a pretty slow life. The south is slow, just the way things role around here. So, what happened this week?

Well, I got an email from my youth pastor to go to this website and watch these seminars. By the time I figured it out it was over for the day. The next day I checked in and started watching them. They are designed for youth pastors and such but were filled with such a great amount of information that my youth pastor suggested I watch them. So I did. They were so neat! It was amazing the things they were talking about. I never thought about it, but the way we are taught about witnessing for Christ, and everything just about is so man centered. The reason the Bible was given to us for example. We are taught it is because we need it for direction. God does everything to Glorify Him. That includes why He gave us the Bible. We should witness because we are so filled with awe and amazement for our Lord and His power we can't keep our mouths shut. The way to salvation is the same way. He sent His Son in such a way that only God could be given the credit. It was so cool! It really changed the way I looked at things.

Thursday my sister and I went to my grandfather's to start doing some spring cleaning. We barely scratched the surface after 4 hours of cleaning in his kitchen. It was interesting though. Especially when we got to the junk drawers. We started pulling things out and my grandfather didn't even know what some of the things were! There were items in there that could be put in the Smithsonian! I also saw several bottles that were older then me that were interesting. I won't ever have to ask again where things are in his kitchen. :)

Have you ever helped your grandparents clean their house? Find anything interesting? Ever learned something that just blew your mind? Something that completely changed the way you look at things?

This and That

Hey all! well, this Post is going to be a collection of things I have been sent and told about this past week. The first is the neatest website I have seen in a long time. I have spent hours on it laughing and staring in awe at my computer screen. What website could do this to me? It is called Microwavecam.com. These people have put just about every thing (pluse some I'm sure) kid has wanted to put in a microwave but every mother said "Not in mine you're not!" They didn't just do it and tell about it. They have video taped it! It is so cool! My two favorites are the soap and gold leaf. They create amazing results. Don't take my word for it. Go and check it out for yourself!

Now for a few things that have been sent to me. The first is a poem I recieved from My Aunt. It doesn't just pertain to New HAmpshire, it can pertain to any cold area.

Subject: Ah NH

New Hampshire
It's winter in New Hampshire
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At twenty-five below.
Oh, how I love New Hampshire
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut .
Yes , the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave New Hampshire
'Cause I'm frozen to the ground!!

The second thing I would like to share was sent to me over the email list "Good Clean Funny List." it is a website that will send you an email every week day that has a good clean joke. I don't always understand them all, but many I do. THis is one that since I live in south I found quite funny. There are people I have seen and met that would fit into this discription.

You Know You're in a Redneck Church if...

The finance committee refuses to provide funds for thepurchase of a chandelier because none of the members knowshow to play one.

People ask, when they learn that Jesus fed the 5000, whetherthe two fish were bass or catfish, and what bait was used tocatch 'em.

When the pastor says, "I'd like to ask Bubba to help take upthe offering," five guys and two women stand up.

Opening day of deer season is recognized as an officialchurch holiday.

A member of the church requests to be buried in his4-wheel-drive truck because "It ain't never been in a holeit couldn't get out of." (Love it!)

The choir is known as the "OK Chorale."

In a congregation of 500 members, there are only seven lastnames in the church directory.

People think "rapture" is what you get when you liftsomething too heavy.

The baptismal pool is a #2 galvanized "Wheeling" washtub.

The choir robes were donated by (and embroidered with thelogo from) Billy Bob's Barbecue.

The collection plates are really hubcaps from a '56 Chevy.

Instead of a bell, you are called to service by a duck call.

The minister and his wife drive matching pickup trucks.

The communion wine is Boone's Farm "Tickled Pink."

Thou shall not covet" applies to huntin' dogs, too.

The final words of the benediction are, "Y'all come backnow, Ya hear."

Received from Larry.

So yeah...thats all for now, I have more for tomorrow but I think I've made a long enough entry as it is! Tell me what you think of this stuff! I love to have feedback. The more feed back the more posting...

SO SO SO SORRY!

Hey guys! I am so sorry for the long wait. The holidays came and I just got caught up in it all. I didn't mean to just leave you guys hanging! Please forgive me!

Yesterday was pretty neat. I went out with a friend and played games almost all afternoon. That was fun. You can imagine the fun with games called, Quiddler, Uno Rummy-Up, and Mad Gab. My friend was out of classes for the day. She didn't realize her brain was going to get an excercise just playing games! It sure did though! Spelling, math and listening to what you say were the different parts of the brain used.
Last night I was outside working..the sunset was so pretty. I was able to go up to a clearing and get some pictures. By the time I got there there wasn't much of a sunset left but it was still pretty. Here in closing are some of the pictures I took.
