Hey everybody! I spent the coolest few days in Richmond VA! It was great! We went up to see some old college buddies of my mothers. These ladies are hilarious! We went because this past weekend there was a craft show in Richmond that one of my mom's friends goes as a vendor. She makes rubber stamps. The buddy thats a vendor has 3 ladies that come with her to help. We then stay with another buddy of my mother's who lives in Richmond. So its like a mini reunion. The lady we stay with likes working with teens and is SO much fun! anyways..The Events went something like this...
Thursday, we arrived in Richmond at 5 something PM. We talked and goofed off till midnight...yes midnight!
Friday, we went to the craft show and spent most of the day wondering around looking at everything and buying a lil bit too... Friday night we went to Ruby Tuesdays with the whole gang. We heard many funny storys. The banter between everybody was just as entertaining. After we ate we went to the hotel the Vendor ladies were staying at. We played a card game for several hours. The banter continued as did the strange and funny stories! I think we laughed more then we played...thankfully we didn't get in trouble. Even though we did have an aduence for at least a little bit.
Saturday, early rising we headed out for a water aerobics class that the lady we were staying with takes. It was fun! Except there were some of the things we used that pushed up with more weight then I weigh out of water...much less in water....so it made things fun and interesting. I am not sore but my carpel tunnel wrists were not all that thrilled with some of the strain. That afternoon after playing Uno Blitzo and Uno Madness (that game really is MADNESS!) we headed home.
WE did have a slight problem there and back. When we got home we discovered that our transmission had lost a gear or two. We took it in today and it needs to be rebuilt. That is going to cost a pretty penny. Please pray that the Lord will show us what to do, either rebuild the transmission or to buy a new car.
What has been your experiences with your parent's old friends from high school and college? Anything interesting?
